Qualifying Information for the State of Nevada

There are two way to qualify for a free Safelink phone in the state of Nevada. You may qualify by either by receiving benefits under a government assistance plan or by income guidelines

Qualifying under a Government Plan

You may qualify for a free Safelink phone in Nevada if you participate in any of the following governmental plans:

  • Medicaid
  • Food Stamps
  • National School Lunch (Free Program Only)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance/Section 8
  • Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)

If you are applying under receiving benefits from one of the above plans, you will need to send proof of participation to Safelink Wireless.

Income Based Eligibility

You may also qualify under income eligibility guidelines. If your household income is less than 150% of the Federal poverty guidelines, you may qualify for a free phone in Nevada. If your income falls below the level in the chart below, it is likely you qualify for a Safelink Wireless phone.
